Luther: Distant Learning
Can anyone give me ther initials thoughts on this route and if they think this approach is feasible. I know that I am not giving my 'context' at the present time but I would like some general consensus of t idea and what they have heard, seen or experience and then I will share more info to probe the discussion further.

Luther has a distributive learning MDiv which is different than just taking on-line courses. It is more like a DMin model where you are a part of a cohort of students who gather on campus a couple of times a year for intensive courses while doing on-line work between intensives. Seems like a good option for folks who want to stay in their context and still get their MDiv. The TEEM program is another option for seeking ordination without the degree. I wish some of these options had been available 10 years ago when I uprooted my family to go to seminary. Nancy Going could answer questions about the DL MDiv at Luther. ngoing001@luthersem.edu.

If that's from Luther seminary, that's a great seminary. I am a grad. and so am prejudiced toward it, but as a "convert" to the Lutheran branch of Christianity, I found Luther very helpful.
My guess is...if they are doing "distance learning" they are doing it well.
