Hey Thomas - Glad to have you here. I should probably do a little full-disclosure update: wen I set this "group" up I actually was on leave from call and watching the three year clock tick on my rostering. But in November of '07 I fell into some part time pastoring work for a good friend whose associate had just retired and after a couple of months that evolved into an actual PT interim position. I thought it would be a short one but 18 months later here I am with no end in sight. I'm ambivalent. Glad to have the income and the health insurance, but would really rather be exploring house/organic church forms. If only that paid! So I'm now starting to see how I can leverage my current position into missional work in that direction. Thankfully, my boss/friend is very supportive about it so there's some hope I can make something happen.
Are you going to the Columbus huddle? It would be great to connect there. Are you still in the Twin Cities though? Your profile says SF...
