I do not think it is helpful to transform an existing liturgy or service. It is wiser to create a new one, at a different time, probably on a different day.

I participate in the life of an historically white semi-urban Lutheran parish that is in transition to a predominately African descent congregation involved in outreach to the Latino community.
What are the most pressing questions (both theological and practical) you and your community have?
Why is the church resistant to change and diversity? Why do so many Christians feel that their baptismal vow included preserving the church (and her traditions) even unto death?
